  • ‘Liminal’, DaShon Aubrey

Liminality refers to the state of ambiguity and transitional space or sequence, often burdening unfathomable amounts of unease, curiosity, confusion, and eeriness.

Liminal space can be defined as leaving something behind but not quite entering the next.

The works for the ‘Liminal’ series look to characterize the idea of transitional periods through crowded, abstract compositions, characterized by slashing lines that connect and separate planes of color.
