Sneha Krishnan

Sneha Krishnan is a visual artist, designer and entrepreneur who spends her time between New York and India. Her works are an expression of a space where internal conflict and the external world integrate. Through this interaction, she hopes to unravel the different layers of human consciousness with a focus on the female lived experience.

In painting, Sneha finds a way to process the layers of human observation and its retention in the subconscious. In this wordless dance, she finds a true oneness. The large works on paper are made over the course of a few days, marks and motifs added each time Sneha walks by the painting, manifesting something observed during the day or dreamt of the night before. She finds charcoal holds memory- an ash representing the cusp of life and decay, a medium used across all her works.

Sneha has a Bachelors in Design from National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi and a Masters in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York and currently resides in Goa, India.
